Shark finning is the cruel practice of cutting off a live shark's fins. Often, these sharks are then tossed back into the sea, where they die a slow and painful death.

PETITION: Ban the sale of puppy mill dogs at pet stores to end this cruel industry for good.

Puppy mills are cruel and inhumane centers where dogs are exploited for profits, forced to reproduce and given the bare minimum to survive.

PETITION: End Happy the Elephant's Decade of Solitary Confinement at the Bronx Zoo

"The Bronx Zoo has been given the shameful title of the 5th worst zoo for elephants in the country. The New York Times calls Happy the Bronx Zoo’s loneliest elephant. That’s because this highly intelligent and social being is one of the only zoo elephants in the entire United States who is being held alone... her living conditions won’t change anytime soon unless we do something about it."

"Three elephants—Nolwazi, Amahle, and Vusmusi—are currently imprisoned and languishing at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo in Fresno, California... confined to a 3 acre yard... [w]hen the handlers are off duty or it’s too cold outside, the elephants are further confined in a largely concrete barn. Elephants are autonomous, social, and incredibly cognitively complex beings..."
